What is Net Zero?

Net Zero is the next evolutionary step towards building off-the-grid structures no longer reliant on electrical energy produced through carbon-based products.

Construction industry will increasingly move in this direction as hydrocarbon production and energy costs will most likely continue to trend higher and higher in the years ahead. End-building owners are already asking engineers and architects to find solutions to reduce or eliminate the cost of heating/cooling.

ICF technology is the easiest way to go Net Zero — using integrated wind, solar, geothermal, passive-design, off-grid technology systems at a reduced size, thereby greatly reducing the cost-of-entry to implement.

More and more architects and engineers — like John McAlpine— are beginning to open up and support this movement towards a more intentionally engineered and designed structure built for a Net Zero future.
